Provo Canyon

After completing our chores on Saturday we took a drive up Provo Canyon. We went to Squaw Peak and Bridalveil Falls. It was wonderful to see some awesome fall colors. We were limited on what we could do because Letty was missing a vital part of her outfit... her shoes! Daddy had put the girls in the car, and I didn't think to check for shoes seeing how that is a given but you know daddy's... they get a little distracted sometimes :) I had a good time harassing T-man about it the rest of the trip.

Later in the day we had a little get together. Lainey and her family were here, K-Rae, and Jeniel. We enjoyed dinner together and attending the Relief Society Broadcast. It's been a long time since I've been able to go with family. It was followed by dessert and some game playing. Letty loved having Curly come and play.

Some pictures of our outing:

Letty had a great time playing in the freezing cold water. We didn't realize how cold it was until T-Man had to go in and retrieve her. It was hilarious to see him hoping around trying to hurry out. It reminded me of somone running across hot sand. I would have taken a picture but he had the camera with him (which he says he took on purpose to prevent me snapping any).

While Letty was enjoying herself, well....Gracie thought it was a bit mediocre.

I love my lips, part II. If I love my lips then you will too :)

Just for fun... Trying to kill time until Daddy got home from school. Letty really wanted to take some pictures so here we are.

"Love My Lips"

I love my lips, I love my lips, I loooooove my lips!

Lips, fangs, whatever... Letty loves these wax lips. She had to have the ones with "teeth"

L-"what are those called again?"
S-"fangs"
L- Oh yeah....FANGS! Don't I look scary.
S-Yeah, real scary... :)

I love the conversations I have with her.

On a different note. I just have to say that Gracie and Letty were made to be sisters. They absolutely adore each other. It is such a symbiotic relationship. Letty loves to perform and entertain, and Gracie loves the attention. Gracie laughs harder and longer for Letty than anyone else. I love that they love each other!

You can't tell here but they are having one of their daily laugh sessions.

Gracie loves the grass. I took her out for a bit while I was picking peaches. She was having such a great time I ran in to get my camera.
Classic expression.

Family Fun!

Yesterday we went to the State Fair with Lainey and her family and K-Rae also joined us. Curly and Letty had a great time! They had a fun little farm just for the kids where they could plant "seeds" (wooden coins) and pick ripe vegtables, ride on a tractor (trike), feed and milk a fake cow, brush a fabricated lamb, and buy something with their money at the end. They enjoyed the pony ride and helicopter ride as well. The fair really is over-priced and over-crowded but it was worth it to spend time with family.

Friday was a glorious day where everyone was sleeping at one time. Letty rarely takes naps anymore.

Here is a beautiful sunset we enjoyed a couple of days ago.

Movin' and Groovin'

Gracie finally has started rolling over! She was really motivated to get a toy Letty had and went for it (the wonders of an older siblings). She is also starting to get her knees up under her, but crawling won't be for a while. (I don't really have a good pic of her rolling yet)

Letty started taking ballet. She loves it! She may end up in a creative dance class depending on which fits her better but either way she is thrilled. She is also loving preschool and asks me everyday if she is going to school today (she goes on Tue/Thurs).

We enjoyed a wonderful Woodbury reunion over Labor Day weekend. Lots of game time, catching up on everyone's doings and a hike up to Timpanogas caves which are very cool.

Grandpa carried Gracie up the hill, so nice! Cousins, gotta love them!

We got to unpack some of our stuff on Saturday. K-Rae came over for a couple of hours to help watch the kidos so we could move furniture and boxes. It was very helpful. We are feeling better having our clothes hung up in the closet. We realized yesterday we have been living out of bags and boxes for over a month, yikes!

T-mans first week of school went well. This is going to probably be the busiest semester of our lives since his emphasis OB/HR (Occupational Behavior, Human Resource) gets recruited first for internships for the summer. It's crazy we are trying to get an internship so early but it will be nice to know where we are going at the same time.
