Back to Happy Valley...

This was our first weekend back, sort of weird but nice to be in our own home. It's funny how you get used to a place. I didn't expect to miss NYC but we do, mostly the walking and diversity aspects. Coming back also means back to school, I guess you can't be on vacation forever :)

A day after returning home T-man left to go on a rafting trip for school ( I know it sounds very scholarly right?) T's mom and sisters all gathered at our apartment for some fun girly time and then his mom and I drove up to ID and T joined us a couple of days later. We were glad to be in a place where we could enjoy some nature and get some good quality outdoor time.

Cousins over, love it!! look at the variety of hair.

Our trip to Yellowstone with T man's parents.

Very hot natural pool. The blue color comes from an algae that can survive the exterme heat of the pool. So cool!!

A waterfall sighting on the way out of the park (Lewis Falls) that we had to explore.
A visit to the Rexburg Fair

The much anticipated ride.

St. Anthony Sand dunes

Our good friends (the Maddens) from Spokane live in ID now so we got together at the dunes. So fun, we miss you guys!

Yesterday we went on a hike to Steward Falls in the Provo Canyon, so beautiful! Our newlywed friends Julie and Greg joined us. Shown here is our exuberant trail guide. So here in the middle of the picture( I know it's hard to find) is a rattle snake. Yes, we did in fact see a real live rattle snake! I have never had one cross my path until now, exciting! You can pretty much only see the tail here.

T-man, Julie, Greg, and Letty on top of the lower falls.

Catching a little nap on the way back.

Breathtaking...

On the way down we were pulled over and had to wait for about 10 min. There was a huge bike race going on (uphill), so we enjoyed the stream for a minute.

Good times! It's fun to be around family and friends.
