Parents come to visit

Our happening in May included a visit from T's parents, so fun! After they were here for a bit we met up with them again in D.C for K-Rae's graduation, good job Aunt K! We also had a couple of fun Saturdays in the city. One included a girls temple trip while the boys babysat and some fun time with friends afterwards. The other was to downtown to show the parents T's work and some south Manhattan sites. We really enjoy where we live, its the best of both worlds. We get to enjoy suburbia but have the magic of NYC at our fingertips. Our town has such a cute quaint feel and has a nice sense of community. With the warm weather lately our yard has turned into Bambi's meadow, the kids especially love the new little bunnies. Here are some highlights.

First Easter

Her first Easter was celebrated not long after her first food, yum! Our little A is now 5 months old.

We enjoyed a couple of hunts this year one with Gracie and playgroup friends (Letty got to be there too since she was on spring break) and another one so Dads could be around. It was an excuse to get together with some good friends.

Over spring break we took a little trip to Lancaster county and to Philadelphia. It was a great, low stress vacation. In Lancaster we rode on restored steam train and visited Strausburg train musum which the girls loved. That and the Amish buggy ride were their favorites, they were lucky enough to sit up front and help with the reins. We visited the Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery which is the first commercial pretzel factory in America. Down the road from it was the Wilbur Chococlate factory which claim to have had their "Wilbur Bud" stollen from Hershey aka the "Hershey Kiss." I will say the bud was better. We hunted out some covered bridges and enjoyed the beautifully manicured Amish farms. The girls especially loved the pool at the hotel :) On the way home we stopped off in Philly and visited the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall.

March D.C and Nate visit

I have been meaning to post theses for, oh lets see over a month! We had two great visits in March one from Nate who stayed with us for a week and other from K-Rae for a weekend. At the end of Nate's stay we all headed to D.C. There we went to the Cherry Festival which included flying kites on the National Mall and attending a free kids festival full of craft making and some entertainment. We even managed some cousin and friend time while there. Thanks K for hosting us, you are awesome! Thanks Nate for taking pictures of the "everyday" stuff.

My Mary Poppins Bag

My craft bag is my "Mary Poppins" bag. It is my magic bag that appears to be bottomless. I have one dedicated bag for unfinished craft projects (you know the endless "to do" pile), I'm surprised I haven't pulled out a floor lamp yet. Anyway...over conference weekend I finished this fabric Birthday Banner. Yeah, for one down!

A first grade lesson

(that we older and wiser people take for granted).

At the time buying an orange ice cream at lunch sounded like a good idea. An even better idea was to put it next to her ice pack in her lunch box and save it until after school :) As you can imagine when she opened her lunch box on the way home from school she was a bit surprise to find liquid in a bag. We all had a little laugh, and now we know you can't "save" ice cream.

12 weeks

Lately I seem to be a bit behind by the time I get around to posting pictures of baby A (now 14 weeks). I don't know how to have three kids yet. Letty and Gracie both had pictures taken at about 12 weeks in their blessing dress so I figured I better keep up the tradition, so I took these of her.
